Episode 25 - Unpacking Masterminds
How can we narrow down all of our creative ideas and work through the most important ones? Get into a mastermind group that shares a common interest. In this episode, Mike and Tim talk about the impact that their mastermind group has had on their careers, side projects, and personal lives. During the latter half of the episode, they hold a brief mastermind session where they share what they’re currently working on and help each other work through some of their major ideas.
What is a mastermind group? Think of it as a session with a therapist where you share some of the things you’ve been up to and eventually share the issues that you’re currently facing. The people in the mastermind group are like therapists in the way that they listen to you and either help you brainstorm your next steps and/or offer their suggestions.
The best part of being part of a mastermind group is that everyone leaves with some action items that relate to the projects that they’re working on. Each person is held accountable for making progress by the next meeting.
What goes on at a mastermind meeting?
Mike and Tim get right into a mastermind session at the middle of the episode where they share the primary project that they’re focusing on and some of the long term projects that they have in mind. You’ll hear about the different projects that they’ve been working on for some time as well as new ones that they’re starting soon!
